Zapier Automations
As a Zapier Certified Expert company, we specialize in setting up "Zaps" to make all of your apps talk to each other.
We offer two levels of Zapier setups:
Single-Step Zaps
Starting at 125
We will set up a simple, single-step Zap allowing one of your apps to talk to another.
Apps must already have integrations built in to Zapier.
Multi-Step Zaps

We will set up a more complex multi-step Zap, allowing many of your apps to talk to one another, and applying conditional logic, custom code, and API calls (to interact with apps not in Zapier's library) to give your Zaps superpowers.

What We DoThe Process
Consultation
As soon as you reach out to us, we'll schedule a time chat about you, your business, and your technology needs. This is a free, zero-obligation conversation. After we chat, you'll get a proposal recommending our next steps together.
Service
For Quick Fixes and Hour BFF sessions, we'll be with you the whole time, walking you through your tech questions and occasionally taking control of your screen as needed.
Our Full Day BFF and Half Day BFF sessions will start with a half hour video call to chat about your goals. At the end of that meeting, we'll schedule a time for the bulk of the work to happen. You won't be expected to attend the work session, but we do ask that you remain available for calls, texts, and quick video chats as needed.
Our Dubsado setups will start with a Zoom meeting to have an in depth discussion about your business processes. Based on that call, we may give you some additional homework to help us understand your needs even better. After that, we'll get your systems up and running, which generally takes us about 4 weeks.

Our Story
Hi friend! I'm Todd, your new Tech BFF!
My journey to starting Business Tech BFF was full of twists and turns!
Many moons ago, I spent 10 years blurring the lines between technology and creativity as a Production Manager and Technical Director for live theatre. Whether I was drafting scenic details, programming complicated lighting sequences, or creating automated systems to track calendars and budgets, I was always discovering new ways to use technology to work smarter instead of harder.
When I moved to Minnesota in 2017, I started a Wedding Planning business, and quickly found that many of the technical systems I had in place in the theatre worked with or could be easily adapted for weddings. But just as quickly, I found that so many of my wedding planning colleagues were struggling to keep up with all the new apps out there! They would be amazed by what I thought was a simple suggestion to improve their workflow; it came naturally to me, but was completely unfamiliar to them.
That's why I started Business Tech BFF: to help small businesses and creative entrepreneurs like you put technology to work for your business so you can focus on your clients.

What apps or platforms do you work with?
All of them!
If you want to use a platform that we're not yet familiar with, we'll learn all the ins and outs before we work together at no additional cost to you.

Do I need to give you my passwords?
We collect login information for each of our BFFs via a secure and encrypted password management and sharing platform. This allows our staff to log in to your accounts without gaining direct access to your passwords.
Despite this security measure, we still encourage our BFFs to change the passwords of any accounts we accessed while we were working together and every 3 to 6 months in the future.
Gosh, what don't you do?!
While we do work with our clients on setting up and maintaining their accounts in bookkeeping, social media scheduling, email marketing, and task management apps, we're not accountants, copywriters, marketing experts, or VAs.
If your struggle is with how to set up and use the technology, that's where we come in!
If it's about what to do once everything is running, you may need to hire someone else too (click here for a list of awesome professionals we love to recommend).
Also, as noted in who we work with above, we do not work with HIPAA compliant technologies, so unfortunately, cannot serve most healthcare professionals.

We are so glad you asked! Giving back is important to us, so 5% of all profits are divided equally and donated to the following charities:
Do you offer payment plans?
Absolutely! While you are always welcome to pay in full, all of our packages except for our Hourly BFF and Quick Fixes sessions can be paid in three equal monthly payments.
In some cases, we are able to provide payment plans of up to six months, so be sure to ask if that is what you need!
Do you have a money back guarantee?

Do you do anything for free?
Yes! We host occasional webinars on the tech topics most important to you!
